Romeo's Consequence was Fair
Romeo's punishment was fair because being banished from Verona is better than being killed. Him getting banished is a good thing because then him and Juliet can go their separate ways and realize that they really weren't in love from the beginning. "Not Romeo, Prince. He was Mercutio's friend. He only did what the law would have done: took the life of Tybalt." (Act 3, Scene 1, Line 180)
Romeo Banished?
Romeo's punishment is not fair because he was doing what the was gonna do, he was protecting himself, and was avenging his best friend. It is clear that Romeo did kill someone but he was doing it for self defense All Romeo was doing was meeting up with his friends at the beach and Tybalt then shows up declaring that Romeo and him fight but Romeo was doing what the Prince told him not to do. After Tybalt kills Mercutio and comes back to finish Romeo then defend himself while avenging his dead friend. Thus Romeo Was doing what the law would according to Lord Montague he then states "Prince, he was Mercutio's friend. His fault concludes but what the law would end, the life of Tybalt." (Act III Scene I Lines 180-183) Arguably I do think that Romeo should not have been punished for what he did to Tybalt.
I think that Romeo's punishment is unfair because he had the right to kill Tybalt because Tybalt had no right to kill Mercutio. Clearly, he forgot that he wasn't supposed to kill anybody but he did the right thing. When Romeo killed Tybalt he wasn't supposed to do so,but since Tybalt killed Mercutio he deserved to die. Therefore, Romeo did the right thing so shouldn't he be rewarded? This punishment is unfair since Romeo did what he thought was right and he should be rewarded not banished. To continue, why should Romeo have to leave. "What is banished?" (act 3, Scene 1). The quote tells that Romeo is upset and he thinks that he did the right thing. Why should he have to leave? In conclusion, I think that Romeo's punishment should have been less harsh because he did the right thing.
Does romeo deserve the pleasure to live.
I believe that romeos punishment is not fair because two wrongs don't make a right. Romeo should controlled himself and let life play its self out and for Tybalt got his punishment by the prince. Tybalt got his punishment by the death of Romeo so Romeo should get his. "Romeo's hand did slay" Act three scene 1 line 150. These are some of the few reasons why Romeo should not get the privilege to live.
Romeo Innocent or Guilty?
Romeos punishment is not fair because Tyblit killed merqutio so he acted out of anger. “These violent delights have violent ends.” I think when the prince banished Romeo he should of known that Romeo only killed Tyblit because he killed merqutio which is the princes kinsmen. Tyblit was also asking to be killed when he returned after he ran away.
Romeos Punishment Yay or Nay
Romeo's Punishment is not a good enough excuse because he acted out of anger because his best friend was killed. Tybalt killed Mercutio first when they brawled on the beach. "Not Romeo, Prince, he was Mercutio's best friend. his fault concludes buts what the law should end, the life of Tybalt."(Act iii, Scene 1, Pg 144). Romeo felt responsible because Tybalt killed Mercutio while Romeo made Mercutio venerable. Therefor he felt he was at fault for Mercutios death. Tybalt was begging for death by coming back to the beach. consequentially Tybalt was slain by romeo because he didn't lay low and stay away from romeo and his anger. Nevertheless that is why romeo's Punishment is not justified
Romeo, Your Punishment Is Fair
The punishment of Romeo is truly fair because he doesn't have to deal with family feuds, the lovers can be together, and it's bound to happen. The banishment of Romeo allows Romeo to be away from the feud. Friar Lawrence states, "Be patient, for the world is broad and wide"(III, iii, 17). Thus proving that there's more to the world than what lies before him. Being banished gives him opportunity to see how other people live. On the other hand, Juliet and Romeo can be together. They won't have to sneak around, and risk their lives. Lastly, it's bound to happen. When either of the families find out that they love each other, then it will start a brawl. Whenever a brawl happens, the Prince is then dragged into it. The Prince will then either sentence them to death or banishment. Therefore, a banishment for Romeo is a fair punishment.
Romeo being banished, yes or no?
Personally, I don't agree with Romeo's punishment. Being banished for killing Tybalt was wrong, yes. However, Juliet's family has killed some of his before and vise versa. Why banish him if Juliet's family has done the same thing to his? It isn't fair. Although Romeo killed Tybalt, he doesn't deserve to be banished. If anything, he deserves a punishment of some sort, but nothing like what they're trying to do to him.Was the banishment of Romeo fair or unfair?
Was the banishment of Rome fair or unfair?
I believe that Romeo's punishment was fair, because instead of death he got banishment from the city. Being banished, he can still see Juliet. If he was dead, there would be no way for him to see Juliet. Romeo was only banished because he killed Tybalt, who murdered Mercutio after trying to pick a fight with Romeo. Mercutio was simply standing up for Romeo, because he didn't believe in fighting. After killing Tybalt, Romeo realized that he had done what Tybalt had wanted all along. "O,I am fortune's fool"-Shakespeare,ACT III SCENE 1 LINE 132.Therefore, Romeos actions have proven to be fair. Juliet and Romeo may or may not see each other, thus proving that it is the ultimate punishment, never being able to see his lover ever again.

Romeo's Punishment: Fair or Unfair?
Romeo's Punishment: Fair or Unfair?
Throughout all of the fights and brawls of the Capulet's and Montegue's, one would change both familie's lives. Tybalt was urging Romeo and Mercutio to fight, so they did, resulting in Tybalt and Mercutio dieing. As the Prince arrived to the horrid scene, citizens warned Romeo to run. The Capulet's ordered that Romeo should be killed, but the Prince didn't agree. The Prince banished Romeo from Verona, leaving his mark on the Capulet family. Romeo's punishment is fair because there had been many fights throughout the two families, and if he was ordered to die, then the fighting would probably continue and only get worse. Even though Romeo killed Tybalt, Tybalt still killed Mercutio. Therefore, Romeo's punishment is fair because of what had happened. "Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done me, therefore turn and draw."-Shakespeare-ACT III, Scene 1, Line 61. From Tybalt to Mercutio's death, Romeo's punishment was overall fair because of what happened in the brawl.

The
Unfairness of Romeo and Juliet.
The Prince Romeo’s
punishment was not fair. Romeo and Tybalt both dishonored the Prince’s wishes
to not fight not kill. However Tybalt fought Mercutio and killed him. Leading
Romeo to get mad killing Tybalt. The Prince’s threat said he will kill anyone
who fought and disturbed peace. Romeo’s father Montague chanted “you are lucky
not to be dead”. Romeo’s
banishment led him to be miserable because he couldn’t see Juliet any more as
it wasn’t dangerous as is. If the table are turned and the prince had to punish
the Capulets he would’ve killed the guilty as a punishment. Therefore,
Romeo’s punishment that the Prince gave him was not fair in any way.

Who Is Romeo?
I think Romeo is kind of weird. He is kind of impulsive and he falls in love he does it with such a passion it's kind of weird. Romeo based on the movie I think is someone who is SUPER dramatic. Especially in the balcony scene. He is very athletic and somewhat mysterious. In the scene in the movie where he was at the dance and was wearing the mask he was trying to find Rosaline. However, it seems as if when he found her (Rosaline) it was as if he wasn't really interested in her anymore.
what i think about romeo is that he is a guy that falls in love to fast. he is very passionate about love. i think hes not as committed to love he is just a quick one and done person. i don't think Juliet shouldn't marry romeo Juliet says we should be marryed.

Romeo Who Are You?
Romeo has many things you can say about him. Romeo is a person who can live in the moment. At the same time he can be very depressed then jump in to a state of happiness as if he never was depressed. Romeo also says that he is truly deeply in love with Rosaline. But as soon as he sets his eyes on Juliet he says he found his one true love. Romeo is able to go from from on women to another. It is as though he does not care what he does to Rosaline, he is just caught up in the moment. Romeo is just to young to know what he should do. He does not know that the decisions he makes will affect everyone else not just him.

Romeo's impulsive behavior
Romeo
is an impulsive person, because when he saw Rosaline he said it was love at
first sight, and then he saw Juliet and was completely over Rosaline. He goes for what he wants, even if he has to
break the rules. Romeo says, “Then move
not, while my prayer’s effect I take thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged
(act one scene 5).” This shows that
Romeo went for Juliet, because he knew she was the one, and that same night
they kissed, love struck. Also, Juliet
says, “Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow (act two scene 2).” This shows that Juliet wanted to marry Romeo
and his impulsiveness payed off.
Clearly, Romeo is a very impulse man.
He has shown it threw his love to Juliet.
romeo in my opinion
Romeo in my opinion
Romeo is a player in my opinion. He is always throwing out the “L” word but I don’t think he really means it. At first he was desperately in love with Rosaline but then he goes to a party (that he isn’t even sposed to be at ) and then claims that he is in love with Juliet and then forgets all about his precious Rosaline. ”out of her favour where I am in love” ~ act 1 scene 1~ is what he said about Rosaline way before he met Juliet. when he meets juliet he says ''the exchange of thys love's faithful vow for mine. meaning he wants to marry her.i dont really have a problem with romeo i think he just needs to make up his mind

Knowing Romeo Montague
English 2B
Romeo Montague is a love stricken man who at first was in love with a girl named Rosaline that can't love him back to her choice of being a nun; this led him to being in a state of love depression while dealing with his household's own personal problems with the Capulet household. With Romeo being a very peaceful person to others not being a violent person at all. Until he met Juliet Capulet becoming madly in love with her but in a confused state to loving the Capulet daughter.
Romeo is different in perspectives of others Devin Gao
Romeo is a love struck man who
loves anyone that comes in his way. I feel like Romeo is struck with a cupid’s
arrow all the time to be able to love anyone that comes up in his path. Romeo
also doesn’t let anything get in his way as he finds ways to get past them.
Romeo is first in love with Rosaline, which was depressed when he wasn’t able
to see her. Soon after, Romeo saw Juliet at the Capulet party and has fallen in
love with her. “O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright. It seems she
hangs upon the cheek of night as a rich jewel in an Ethiop’s ear – Beauty too
rich for use, for earth too dear. So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows as
yonder lady o’er her fellows shows. The measure done, I’ll watch her place of
stand, and touching hers, make blessed my rude hand. Did my heart love till
now? Forswear it, slight. For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night”
(Shakespeare Act one Scene five). Quoted from Shakespeare he shows Romeo having
love at first sight when he saw Juliet. Romeo can’t be stopped by love quoted
by himself “With love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls, for stony
limits cannot hold love out, and what love can do, that dares love attempt:
Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me” (Shakespeare Act two Scene two). I can
tell that Romeo is a depressed lover who just wants someone who loves him back.
I think he is just looking for love. I like his personality where he is not
afraid of anything and will do anything for Juliet’s love. He climbed a stone
wall just to see Juliet at her balcony. I do not identify with him at all. He
is not shy and afraid and I would not relate to him otherwise.
The few shades of Romeo. By Jake Barker
Jake Barker 11/9/13
Romeo is a depressed and love struck boy. Clearly he is not a
fighter because in the beginning when the big fight was taking place between
the Montagues and Capulets Romeo was never there. He then shows up after the
fight alone with his head down and flowers in his hand. “See where he comes. So
please step aside; I’ll know his grievance or be much denied.” (Shakespeare Act
1 Scene 1) This quote said by Benvolio Shows that everyone sees Romeo as depressed
and that he is never happy. Consequently once Romeo finds true love “Juliet” he
does nothing but love for one. “If I profane with my unworthiest hand this holy
shrine, the gentle sin in this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to
smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.” (Act 1 Scene 5) Here Romeo this
proofs that Romeo is love struck because as soon as he sees Juliet he wants to
kiss and sure enough he does.
What Romeo is like
My initial opinion of Romeo, in "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare was that he was depressed. He was boring, and dreary. After time, he seemed to get happier, after he saw Juliet. He is a love-struck, rebellious guy. He is so, because the love of his life just so happens to be Juliet Capulet, a member of his family's enemies/rivals. Romeo was a member of the Montague family, so the fact that he liked a member of the Capulet family, was even worse. He was first in love with another girl, Rosaline, so he impulsively fell in love with Juliet. Romeo was kind of indecisive because he wasn't sure what his life was for, so he spent plenty of time alone. Romeo was also a pacifist in my opinion. Although the Montague's were at a constant war with the Capulet's, he didn't want to fight with them. He apparently didn't believe in war, or anything, he just wanted to be in love."Is she a Capulet? O dear account! My life is my foe's debt." Act One, Scene five. "I conjure thee by Rosaline's bright eyes,"Act one, Scene five This quote shows that he was technically still loyal to Rosaline, when he departed to see Juliet.
Prompt: Character Analysis
Romeo so far is a guy that falls in love really quick, and he is kind of impulsive, he keeps changing his mind about who he loves. As his friend Mercutio said he is "Romeo! Humours! Madman! Passion! Lover!" even his friend thinks that he is kind of a crazy lover. And so far he has fallen in love with a couple of girls and the only one to love him back is Juliet. I also think that Romeo is not the typical guy, he is more of a lover than a fighter, which you might not find in a guy most of the time. He even talks dramatically, "My lips, two blushing pilgrims". As you can see that quote made it clear that he is very dramatic. But that's what I think Romeo is like so far.
Character Analysis
Romeo is a player,”Leaden feather; bright smoke;cold fire;sick health;wide-awake sleep, which isn't sleep at all!I’m in love...”(Page 37) This is the love that Romeo has for Rosaline, he falls in love so deeply that it makes him sick. “O then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do! They pray. Grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.”(Page 72) This is yet another thing that shows Romeo is romantic but this time he is saying it to Juliet. He also is peaceful because during the fight instead of fighting Romeo was just home and every time there was even close to a fight he wouldn't be in it. Romeo likes to also hang out with friends, before going to the ball at Juliets hes with his friends talking and having a good time.
Character Analysis
My opinion on Romeo so far is, he is very love-struck. What i mean by love-struck is he doesn't know who he loves. At first he loved Rosealine, he didn't even know her, than he meets Juliet and falls in love with her. I am not sure if I like/dislike him. The reason why I am not sure if I like/dislike him is because he needs to make up his mind and figure out who he likes! I do not identify him because I know who I love, and what I am doing.
If I had to describe Romeo, I would say he is very dramatic. He's dramatic because its almost as if he over reacts over everything. "Too smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss." it goes without saying, this statement didn't need to be as detailed and, awkward... He's also almost like an 'old school player' for lack of a better phrase. Reason being, he kind of goes after any girl he desires and doesn't care what the consequences. However, Romeo is more of a lover rather than fighter. He chooses to be civil rather than get mad and make it an on going argument.
Romeo Montague's Characteristics
Romeo’s character is very mope at the start because Roslyn his
lover wants to be a nun and that is not what Romeo wants. Now that he has found
Juliet he has gotten happier and he is now in love with the Capulets daughter Juliet.
He finds Juliet at the Capulet party and instantly falls in love. Romeo and Juliet
both have a case of love on first sight and they are both very respectful to their
families and they love each other every much. "Oh romeo, oh Romeo why are you Romeo deny your father and refuse your name and ill no longer be a Capulet"(pg.84). This shows that Juliet loves romeo and he knows that because he was listening to her. "If your intentions are honorable and your object is marriage then send me a word tomorrow where and will you will go through the ceremony my life will then be yours" (93).
Kody Fieweger
Discribing romeo?
Romeo is a Montague who doesn't believe in violence, and is love-struck with Juliet, also he is love-stuck because in act 1 scene 5 Romeo saw Romeo and thought to him self that he wants to marry Juliet .
What i think about that young romeo
In the play Romeo and Juliet by William shakesphere I get a sense that Romeo easily fall I love with any one who is beautiful. I believe that he is because a day before he met Juliet he was in love with a girl named Rosaline who was a nun, and a day later he was love-struck with Juliet. I also believe that Romeo has a golden tongue "As a rich jewel in Ethiops ear." Also I believe that Romeo is a huge lady's man. "Tickle the senseless rushes with their heels." This quote shows that Romeo tickles women with his tongue, the way he speaks to women. All in all I am not surprised that Juliet fell in love with him.
Oh Romeo, Thou Art Romeo!
In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo is very love-struck.
In act one scene one it states, “Out of
favour where I am in love” (Shakespeare 34). This shows that when Romeo sees a beautiful
girl, and he falls in love. Romeo feels that time runs by so slow when someone
is in love. He could also be considered a lady’s man because he says nice
things about women. One thing Romeo says is, “Beauty too rich for use, for earth
too dear” (Shakespeare 68). This quote shows that he “knows” how to get the
women. He always tries to sweet talk them. From the parts we have read, I like
Romeo. Romeo always strives for love. He won’t give up on it, even if others
want him too. I don’t identify with him at all. This is because I don’t say I’m
in love with someone and then say nope, this person is better. If I’m truly in
love with someone, I will stay in love with them no matter what.
Romeo's character
So far I think that Romeo is very love struck, a pacifist and he is very not fight worthy. He is love struck because he just wants to fall in love with a girl, so far most of theses women have been very not nice to him and they don't want to be in a relationship with him. He has just now fallen in love with Juliet and it makes him happy because she loves him too so this makes him very love struck about women and how they feel about him. He is also a pacifist this is because he doesn't really want to fight anybody he is sort of nice and sweet about everything. He doesn't even ever show up at the brawls between the two families so I feel this makes him a pacifist. Last i feel that Romeo is not very fight worthy. I feel that he doesn't want to fight anyone and if he did he probably would lose because he is to scrawny. In conclusion, this is what i think of Romeo so far.

I believe that some people have
advantages in sports do too how they were born.
Genetically some people are born taller than others. This gives them an advantage in basketball,
because they can get to the rebound or shoot over people much easier.
Gladwell’s opinion was that people
who are born earlier like in January tend to be more talented or stronger in
what they do. He used the example of
hockey and how if they are bigger built and stronger they will be a much better
player, will get to play with higher leagues so he will get better with the competition,
and he will be more mature so he will be more committed and want to practice
more.
I agree with him because people who
are born earlier are old for their age, so sometimes they will be stronger than
the average age group he is in. This
will be an advantage for them because it would be easier for them to get around
the guy and you could shoot much harder.
The chapter for sure made me rethink what I said, because it is so true
that if you are stronger and more mature you will do much better in the sport
you play.
He used a hockey roster with their
date of birth so you could see that most of the hockey players were born in
that time period. They were very
convincing because I saw that most of the hockey players were born in the month
on January and that proves the point that they are good at what they do because
they are older than their age group.

I play volleyball outside of school. People do have advantages when it comes to activities, because some could be really good and some could be really bad. But when it comes to playing the game they get become really competitive because they want to win. Students can act differently to achieve their goals.
Gladwell’s opinion to the daily question is, he thinks that the teenagers who are older, do better in school/sports. I don’t agree with him because many teenagers who are younger also do well in school/sports. It doesn’t matter how old you are everyone has the same advantage. His chapter did not make me re-think my response to the daily question because it doesn't make any sense to me to why he thinks that way. Everyone has an equal chance of doing their best.

I do think that when you are fast or very coordinated it does help you excel in sports differently rather than if you were not so coordinated and slow. For example me, I am not very big but I am very fast and I am well coordinated and it helps me a lot in basketball because I can beat everyone to the hoop in a fastbreak and then score. Also being coordinated helps because I can dribble the ball and no one can steal it from me. After reading a part in the book "Outliers" I know I must be right because Gladwell's opinion is the same is mine. It did not make me have to rethink the daily question ,I still believe certain people have advantages when it comes to doing well with competitive and other goal orientated activities. Some of the sources he used to make his points are just certain birthdates kids had and most of the kids that were good were born in the month January February or March which meant they were bigger and more prepared. Yes those sources were kind of convincing but it just goes back to what I said.

I do believe that so people have advantages but some are used to make people better at things. Like the time when I won a blue ribbon on my swim team. I had worked so hard to achieve it and I had trained for weeks before to make sure I achieved my goal. There are a couple of reasons why I was able to accomplish my goal, one is that I was faster than most of the other girls and two it’s because I was taller and slimmer than they were. Now in relation to the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell his opinion is that most people have advantages that make them better at what they do. I completely agree with his opinion because it is true most people do have advantages that make them better than others and at what they do. For example, he used hockey players and how the older ones and stronger ones get more training so they are better at the sport than others are. In conclusion, I do believe that some people have advantages and this makes them better at what they do.

A sport that I do is dance, and in dance there are some advantages that people can have. One is to just be born with natural dancing skills. Another is to dance from a really young age to any age you want to stop. So yes, there are advantages to dance. In the book we read Gladwell said that people born in January,February, and march have a better chance of getting into the higher level hockey team. I do agree with that, because sometimes they base the teams on age, they don't always base it on skill level. Some sources he used to make his point was the list of players he found, with there birth day on it too, and yes they were convincing sources because they provided evidence to go along with what he was saying.

When I think about accomplishing goals
I never thought that you can be born with advantages or disadvantages. I always
thought that people who are successful are the people who work really hard for
the part. Malcom Gladwell (author of the Outliers) stated “we don’t ride from
nothing. We do owe something to parentage and patronage.” He prove that most of
the professional hockey player were born in the first three months, because
that is when the beginning of the winter season and that they had more lessons
to prepare. Schools have done thing as well, if you are born in the early year
you would be put you in a high class so when you move on to a high school you
are automatic in the advance placement classes all because they had more of a
learning step. After all I now I think that we all the great successful people
had a big advantage and people don’t even realize.

“Daily
Question”
I
would have to say no, because we all start the same way. None of us are born
being able to do anything. We all in one way or another have to work for what
we want. Whether it’s for a sport, concert, and a play we all have to work for
that achievement we want. We are not all born being perfect at everything there
is. It all depends on your determination you have for what you want.
“The
Matthew Effect”
Matthew Gladwells opinion is that some
people are not born with natural talent. They have to earn it. I would have to
agree with him people are not born perfect they have to train for it. What he
wrote only made me think my response to the daily question was right. The way
he use hockey from Canada to support his claim was really useful. It really
helped to understand what he meant.

I do dance recitals at Point Dance Academy. People do have advantages when it comes to competitive and goal-oriented activities because some can be more athletic in sports then others. Or more flexible in dance, gymnastics, etc.
Gladwell's opinion on the daily question was that teenagers who are older do better in school and in sports. I don't agree with him because age doesn't matter, someone can be 15 and do bad in school, while a 13 year old could be doing good. It depends on your study habits, if you do homework or not, what college you want to go to, and what you do to help yourself achieve goals in school. Some of the sources he used to back up his point was that hockey players who are 9 and 10, will get picked for the "rep" squad and their gonna get better coaching, their teammates are gonna be better, they'll also get to play 50 or 65 games a season instead of 20 games like the one's in the "house" league. To me, these weren't convincing sources because how can you prove that the "rep" squad is getting better coaching and has better teammates? The "home" league could be getting the same coaching and have better teammates.

junior Olympics I had to be with the 15 and 16 year olds and I was only 14. Most
of the people that were in my age group had much more experience than me. I was
the only one that was in middle school everyone else was in high school and did
high school track. This created a very big disadvantage for me when I had to
run. I do agree with Gladwell because he said that most people that were born
in January have an advantage and I do agree with that. The chapter didn’t make
me rethink about my response it just made me connect because I’ve been through
the same thing. The sources he used to convince me was hockey and birthdays and
these were some of the sources he used to make his point.

Some people are born with natural
talent that makes them better at some things like football, basketball,
baseball. But they also train and practice to get better and to strengthen their
talent by watching videos, going to camps, training, working out, etc.in the Matthew
effect book he was telling us how when he looked at data he found that kids or
people born in January, February, march
are better at things the kids born on a different month. His opinion on the
daily question was that when people born in January, February, or March were
they better than people born in different months. The chapter did not help
change my daily question answer.
Its Gladwell's opinion.
Well there was this girl
in my gymnastics class named Mikayla.
She was born double
jointed…so basically she was born flexible.
I however was not I had to
work my way to the top and she strolls on in it is basically handed to her.
I had the highest DOD in the
level, and Coach Morgan took hat away from me for her.
Gladwell’s opinion on the
daily question is that kids who play sports with various ages and are older
have a better advantage in
that sport like hockey.
Blog Post 2: Synthesis
Some people have advantages with
anything goal-oriented because they just naturally have a gift to do really
well. For instance, I’m good at tennis, even though I have never played before.
The coach says that I’m a natural. Certain people just have it in their genes
to be good at something. Most of the time, they can’t help it.
Gladwell’s
opinion is that people aren’t born with goal-oriented talents. He believes that
people work for their achievements. I would have to agree and disagree with
him. I would agree with him because if you work hard for something, it can pay
off. On the other hand, I disagree because sometimes people have natural
talents and they can’t control them. Gladwell’s chapter did make me re-think my
response to the daily question. To make his points, Gladwell used the player
roster of the 2007 Medicine Hat Tigers and the study made by Kelly Bedard and
Elizabeth Dhuey. They are convincing resources because it shows that once you
get in honors classes, then you just keep being ahead. It also shows that
higher-level people tend to succeed more. In the end, Gladwell changed my
thoughts a little bit on if people have advantages with anything goal-oriented.
