Romeo's Consequence was Fair

Romeo's punishment was fair because being banished from Verona is better than being killed. Him getting banished is a good thing because then him and Juliet can go their separate ways and realize that they really weren't in love from the beginning. "Not Romeo, Prince. He was Mercutio's friend. He only did what the law would have done: took the life of Tybalt." (Act 3, Scene 1, Line 180)
