Blog Post 2: Synthesis

When I played Rugby over the last few years, I had a huge advantage. Not many other players on my team, or even in my league were as big or as tall as I am. I could run the ball in for a try, and hardly ever get tackled. Of course, I tackled very hard, not letting go. There are also disadvantages to being my size, like the fact that I am not very fast compared to others. As opposed to most of the backs on my team, and many other players in my league. All in all, everyone has advantages and disadvantages of their own. Everyone is good at something, but other things are harder for them to do.

This relates to what Gladwell wrote because I have the age difference, maturity difference, and physical difference that he described in his story. I agree with what he wrote, for the most part. I agree that some people have some advantages over others, and disadvantages too, but it’s no always age. I play for a u-16 (ages 14-16) Rugby team, and there are plenty of players in my league, even on my team, who are older than 14, yet I have an advantage of height and strength over them
