One thing that I've done that is competitive was helping compete in a marlin tournament. My uncle was one of the many boats in the tournament. I was one of the crew members helping the client’s fish and also teaching them how to fish. This was a tournament that usually pros could only partake in. My uncle had one of the most popular boats in the Florida Keys. But his trolling for big fish skills are not among the best unlike the others. The other boats advantages were that they had more experience and have been fishing longer then my uncle.

             I agree with Gladwell’s opinion that older people have advantages over the younger people. I believe this because the older fisherman knew were to go to find the marlins and other fish. While my uncle fished in one area. Gladwell’s opinion was also correct because one of the older fisherman did end up winning the tournament and winning the prize money.
